We bring the portable storage container to you. You load and unload at your
convenience. No rental truck or moving company deadlines to worry about.
When you're ready, we'll move your portable storage container to your new destination,
or to our secure and convenient storage facility.
How long can I keep my storage container?
Our leases are set up on a month-to-month renewable basis, with
a one-month minimum rental period. To end your lease, simply call
us five business days ahead to schedule the pickup of your empty
storage container.
Do I need to be present when my container is delivered?
Yes, so that we can place the container exactly where you want
it. The driver will also deliver our welcome package, show you the
features of your storage container, and have you sign the rental agreement.
Will I need my own lock?
No, we will provide you with a FREE cylinder lock. It's the most
secure type available, because it can't be cut with lock cutters.
If you desire, there are two additional slots where you can add
your own padlocks.
How much will my storage container hold?
Containers come in two sizes. The most popular is our 8'W x 8'H
x 16'L box, which will hold about 4 to 6 rooms of furniture plus
boxes. The smaller 8'W x 8'H x 8'L box will hold two or three rooms.
(Please note: capacity will vary depending on the size of your furniture
and how the unit is packed.)
Is the container weatherproof?
Yes - and it's extra sturdy, too! The container has a pitched roof
(to keep rain from pooling on top), a welded-steel powder-coated
frame, a steel outer shell, roll-up door with a dust brush, and
our boxes are insulated!
Why is humidity protection so important?
Humidity is the number one enemy of stored goods, far more damaging
than heat or cold. As the relative humidity exceeds 55%, the problems
begin to multiply --- problems like mildew, mold, rust, corrosion,
even insect and rodent infestation. The humidity control system helps eliminate these
problems by keeping relative humidity at or below 50%.
Will my furniture shift or get damaged when my storage container is lifted?
Provided your storage container is packed securely, the weight evenly distributed,
and your goods properly secured with the straps we provide, you
shouldn't have to worry about shifting during loading or transport.
We also provide information about how to pack, load and secure your
storage container to prevent damage to your goods.
Do I have to keep the storage container on my property or will you store it for
me?
We'll do whatever suits your needs. You may keep your storage container
at your current location, or we can move it directly to your new
destination. And if you need to have the unit stored for a period
of time, we have storage facilities available in your area with
video surveillance, security gates, electrical hookups and climate
control systems.
How will my storage container be moved?
We use a unique dual-method delivery system."
When an empty storage container is delivered, a roll-back truck tilts it and
places it gently on the ground. But when a customer's storage container is
loaded with fine furniture and valuables, they don't want to see
it tilted. So we designed our own unique delivery system; four hydraulic
jacks operate in unison to raise and lower the box gently, without
tilting. It also allows us to place the storage container where some
others can't go.
If I'm moving, do I have to know my new address when I order my S.O.S unit?
Not necessarily, although it may help us to determine your total
costs if you know it at the time of your reservation. Additional
mileage or delivery charges may apply outside of our normal operating
zones, or in extremely difficult delivery conditions.
